The British Pakistani Orthopaedic Society (BPOS) is pleased to invite consultants, trainees, and medical students to the BPOS Annual Research Meeting 2026 in Manchester.


This national meeting aims to showcase high-quality orthopaedic research, promote academic discussion, and strengthen collaboration within our professional community in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Dr. Frederik Verstreken

Dr Frederik Verstreken

A Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon based in Belgium with over 25 years of experience in hand and wrist surgery. His clinical and academic work focuses on complex upper limb pathology, post-traumatic reconstruction, and contemporary surgical techniques, with an established record of international teaching and publication.

Mr Zafar Naqui

Mr Zafar Naqui

A UK Consultant Hand and Wrist Surgeon and President Elect of FESSH, with an active academic and educational portfolio. His practice centres on degenerative and traumatic wrist conditions, sports-related injuries, and evidence-based surgical innovation, contributing to both national and international professional development.

Dr. Radek Kebrle

Dr Radek Kebrle

A Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon from the Czech Republic specialising in reconstructive and post-traumatic upper limb surgery. He is engaged in international collaboration and academic exchange, with particular interest in advancing contemporary techniques in complex deformity correction and limb reconstruction.

Call for Abstracts

The BPOS Annual Research Meeting 2026 invites abstract submissions across all orthopaedic subspecialties. Submissions will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee and selected for podium or display presentation.

Podium Presentation

• 6 Elective
• 6 Trauma
• 10 minutes per presentation

Display Posters

• Approximately 10 posters
• Displayed throughout the meeting
• Poster viewing sessions included

Submission Deadline

Abstract submission deadline: 16th of April 2026

Abstracts will be assessed on originality, relevance, methodology, and clinical impact. Previously published work in identical form will not be accepted.
